Darby Day Staffing is Hiring a Machine Operator Helper (FT) Near Grand Prairie, TX
- Accurately reading tape measures, gauges, and other test equipment.
- Help set up machines and assist machine operator in fabrication and packaging.
- Stack finished product in accordance with factory specifications.
- Assist with loading and unloading of proper machines.
- Securing raw materials.
- Participating in crew meetings, reducing waste, actively participating in team problem solving processes, and maintaining quality standards.
- Applicants must be willing to work alternate shifts, weekends, and daily overtime as required.
- Production machine setup.
- Reading factory orders.
- Ensure correct bundle/unit counts, and report final counts to supervisor.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to stand continuously and lift up to 50 pounds.
- put bundles coming off of conveyer into a stacking pattern/unitizing to go to shipping for shipment.
- Protective gear required (steel-toed shoes);
- Prior environmental or corrugated industry experience preferred.
- Ability to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy and apply concepts of basic math.
- Prescreen testing required.
